Obituary for Hendrikus "Hank" Hiddink

October 24, 1948 - January 6, 2021 Peacefully at Belleville General Hospital on Wednesday January 6, 2021, Hank Hiddink of Bloomfield passed away at the age of 72.

Beloved husband of Tina (nee Bosma). Proud father of Suzanne Hiddink, Denman Island, B.C., Nicole Scott, Kingston and Brandon Hiddink, Bloomfield.
He will be missed by his granddaughters Andrea (Cody), Jenna, Leah, ShyAnne, Thea and Nia. His dog Bizzy is lost without him.
Dear son of the late John and Gerda Hiddink, brother of Wilma Bosma (Peter), Jack Hiddink (Marylou) and Andrew Hiddink (Tracy) and his many nieces and nephews.

Hank was involved in the construction industry his entire adult life, a graduate of Loyalist College, Construction Engineering.
For the past 30 years he enjoyed raising Simmental and Hereford beef cattle. He totally enjoyed attending cattle production sales and farm/ranch tours across Canada, making many friends along the way. He was a longtime member of the Prince Edward Cattlemen’s Association and a director of the Prince Edward Agricultural Society.
Hank was involved with local hockey, softball and slow-pitch as a player and a youth coach. For many years he coached rep minor hockey teams in Wellington and Picton. He was so proud to see the youth he coached go on to play junior hockey.

Cremation has taken place. Due to current government health restrictions a memorial service will take place in the spring. The family would appreciate memorial donations to Friendship United Church or the PECMH Foundation “Back the Build”
