Brian died suddenly as a result of heart failure on January 4, 2021 at the age of 57 doing what he loved, driving the snow plow for Emcon. Brian died the way he lived,…happy, driving the snow plow and loving Karen.

Brian is survived by his loving partner, Karen Doucette, his special granddaughter Kendall, his devoted pets, Tigger and Gizmo, his sister Debbie Lahaie, his brother, Michael Day his daughter, Christina Backhaus (Kevin Thomas) and his grandchildren, Tavian Backhaus-Thomas and Jordynn Backhaus-Thomas. Brian is pre-deceased by his mother, Lorraine (nee Fox) and his father, Fred Day.
