R. Douglas Rushnell, President/Owner - Licensed Funeral Director

Passed away on November 4th, 2017. Doug was born and raised in Belleville, Ontario. Attended Belleville Collegiate Institute (B.C.I.). A graduate of The Canadian School Of Embalming (1950). Founder of Rushnell Family Services (1961), starting with the Rushnell Funeral Centre in Trenton, followed by the John R. Bush Funeral Home in Belleville, the Stirling Funeral Chapel, Frankford Funeral Chapel, Belleville Funeral Home & Chapel, and Brighton Funeral Home. Doug dedicated his life to funeral services until his recent passing.

Mary Rushnell

Doug Rushnell and his late wife Mary Co-founded Rushnell Funeral Centre and Rushnell Family Services. Mary worked tirelessly for Rushnell Family Services until her untimely passing on December 22nd, 2002. Mary will be remembered by her family and staff.
