Obituary for Doreen Elizabeth Heenan (Triebner)

HEENAN, Doreen Elizabeth (nee Triebner) – of Prince Edward County, at her home of forty six years, in her 92nd year. Doreen was born to the late Frank and Muriel Triebner on July 30, 1929, in Exeter, Ontario. Doreen was predeceased by her loving husband John Michael Heenan in 2012. Doreen is survived by her children Brian (late Lisa), Dave (Debbie), Sharon, and her brothers, Tom (Noella), and Jack. Doreen was predeceased by her children Robert, James, Barbara, and her brothers Douglas, William, Donald (her twin) and Edward Triebner. Doreen is also survived by her grandchildren Jennifer, both Michaels, Adam, Elliot, Ashley, Alison, and great-grandchildren, Jackson, Isabella, Liam, and Madden. Doreen was married in 1949, and as the wife of a World War Two veteran, and military man, this meant moving every few years (Moose Jaw, Churchill, Trenton, Ottawa, Montreal) until they both retired in Prince Edward County. Doreen worked for many years at the Four Seasons / Ramada Hotel in Belleville, well past the age of retirement. Doreen was also an avid euchre player at the Wellington Legion, and Picton Elks Lodge, until COVID took this away from her this year. Resting at the John R. Bush Funeral Home (613-968-5588) 80 Highland Avenue, on Monday, December 21st, from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, December 22nd, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. Interment to follow at Belleville Cemetery. *** Pursuant to Maximum Attendance Regulations, all Visitors must pre-register, by calling the Funeral Home, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. at 613-968-5588.
